New Students: Your First Promotion

In the first couple of weeks of your fifth month we will be putting the final pieces together and preparing for your promotion.

Tigers & Dragons who have attended regularly will undergo their third and final tape testing about the 16th week of the session.  Once they receive this third tape, they are fully qualified for the Graduation Ceremony, typically in Week 18-19.  We will spend the rest of the session preparing for the ceremony.  It is part of the challenge of the promotion to get up on stage and perform for the crowd!

For Taekwondo students who have regular attendance, you will spend week 16-17 testing for your final tapes and week 18 preparing for the promotion test, typically held during regular class times (testing schedules are released prior to testing).  By receiving all your tapes, you have qualified for the test.  This means that you have demonstrated that you know everything necessary to pass to the next rank.  The purpose of the test is not to test your knowledge but to test your performance and spirit.  Relax and be confident in your ability.  Kiyah as loud as you can and do each technique as hard as you can and you will do a great job!
